Wheat is a staple food across the world and is critical for 2.5 billion including poor families. Wheat is grown worldwide. But, the productivity is reduced due to increased terminal heat as a result of global warming. In warm and humid area, wheat is also affected by spot blotch disease, which further cause yield loss. In warm -humid area of EGP (Eastern Gangetic Plains) of South Asia, wheat is mainly late sown, the productivity of wheat is greatly affected by both heat stress and spot blotch infection. Wheat spot blotch is caused by fungi Bipolaris sorokiniana (Anamorph) and (Teleomorph- Cochliobolus sativus).
