Indian financial system is basically an agrarian economic system. Agriculture quarter has been registered an annual boom rate of 2.10 per cent in 2017-18 (Economic Survey-2017-18). India ranks first in milk production (18.50% of worldwide milk production) with 187.7 million tonnes in 2018-19 (NDDB). Dairying is a vital supply of profits for 70 million rural families within the country. Share of livestock area in countrywide GDP is 4.1 per cent. (Livestock census, 2017)
