Standard of living has always been an issue of concern for all of us. Each one of us is so concerned about improving our standard of living that most of our activities are oriented around it. Our quality of lifestyle is somewhat directly proportional to the amount of income that we earn. The main source of income is a job. Our daily routine consists mainly of ‘work’. Almost one-third of our lives is spent at work and thus it would be safer to assume that our jobs can have a huge impact on the quality of our lives. Considering this, satisfaction with one’s job becomes important for his or her social, mental and physical well- being. Job satisfaction is the most important factor which the productivity of an organization depends on. Those individuals who are satisfied with their jobs result in superior performances at work place leading to increments in profits of the organization.
