The present investigation entitled “Optimization of protocol for screening soybean genotypes for rust resistance”. Two separate field trial was conducted in Kharif season, 2016 to estimate stability parameters for seed yield and its important components and to screening of 15 soybean genotypes for rust resistance in hot spot areas during Kharif season, 2016 at Agricultural Research Station, Kasbe Digraj, Sangli. The first field trial was conducted for estimation of stability parameters for seed yield and its important components which is kept free from disease and insect pest. The second field trial was conducted for screening of 15 soybean genotypes for rust resistance in hotspot areas during Kharif season 2016, which is sprayed by rust inoculums for builting disease pressure. Both the trial, were evaluated 15 soybean genotypes were evaluated in randomized block design with three replications for each four sowing dates. The plot size was 0.90 x 3.00 m2 and sown at 45 x 5 cm spacing.
