(Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, 2020) Shinde Sayali Satish; Pawar, S.V.
An experiment entitled, “Genetic variability and genetic diversity studies for yield and yield contributing characters in quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) was carried out at Agricultural Botany Research Farm, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri - 413 722, Dist. Ahmednagar, Maharashtra (India) during Rabi season, 2019. The present investigation was undertaken to evaluate thirty diverse quinoa genotypes to estimate genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance, correlation coefficient, path analysis and genetic diversity. The study involving thirty genotypes of quinoa was sown in a randomized block design (RBD) with three replications. Observations were recorded for nine characters viz., days to 50 per cent flowering, days to maturity, plant height, branches per plant, inflorescence per plant, inflorescence length, inflorescence width, yield per plant, seed volume weight/10 ml.
