ThesisItem Open Access STUDIES ON DIFFERENT CONCENTRATIONS OF IBA AS POWDER AND LANOLIN PASTE FORMULATION ON SURVIVAL AND GROWTH OF AIR LAYERS IN GUAVA (Psidium guajava L.)(Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, 2021) Diwan, Sanat Kumar; Sahu, G.D.; Sharma, G.L.; Tamrakar, Sameer; Saxena, R.R.The present investigation “Studies on different concentrations of IBA as powder and lanolin paste formulation on survival and growth of air layers in guava (Psidium guajava L.)” was conducted at PFDC (Precision Farming Development Centre), College of Agriculture, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (C.G.) during the year September, 2020 – March, 2021. The experiment was conducted in RBD (Randomized Block Design) with 11 treatments and 3 replications. The experiment was carried out with different concentrations and method of application of IBA (Plant growth regulator) with 11 treatments namely, No IBA treatment (T0), IBA 1500 ppm as powder form (T1), IBA 2000 ppm as powder form (T2), IBA 2500 ppm as powder form (T3), IBA 3000 ppm as powder form (T4), IBA 3500 ppm as powder form (T5), IBA 1500 ppm as lanolin paste (T6), IBA 2000 ppm as lanolin paste (T7), IBA 2500 ppm as lanolin paste (T8), IBA 3000 ppm as lanolin paste (T9) and IBA 3500 ppm as lanolin paste (T10) with 3 replications. The results revealed that the air layers prepared by using of IBA 3500 ppm as lanolin paste (T10) promoted highest no. of primary and secondary roots, length of primary and secondary roots, fresh and dry roots weight, no. of shoots, length of shoots and no. of leaves and also increased survival rate (%) each air layers followed by IBA 3000 ppm as lanolin paste (T9), IBA 3500 ppm as powder form (T5) and IBA 3000 ppm as powder form (T4). The lowest no. of primary and secondary roots, length of primary and secondary roots, fresh and dry roots weight, no. of shoots, length of shoots and no. of leaves and survival rate (%) each air layers were observed in treatment T0 (i.e. control). Among the method of application of IBA (plant growth regulator), the lanolin paste method is the best as compared to the powder method for higher root and shoot growth and survival percentage (%) of guava air layering.ThesisItem Open Access STUDIES ON DIFFERENT CONCENTRATIONS OF IBA AS POWDER AND LANOLIN PASTE FORMULATION ON SURVIVAL AND GROWTH OF AIR LAYERS IN GUAVA (Psidium guajava L.)(Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, 2021) Diwan, Sanat Kumar; Sahu, G.D.; Sharma, G.L.; Tamrakar, Sameer; Saxena, R.R.The present investigation “Studies on different concentrations of IBA as powder and lanolin paste formulation on survival and growth of air layers in guava (Psidium guajava L.)” was conducted at PFDC (Precision Farming Development Centre), College of Agriculture, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (C.G.) during the year September, 2020 – March, 2021. UNDER PRECISIONFARMING” UNDER PRECISION FARMING(Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, 2021) Maksudan; Sahu, G.D.; Kumar, Vijay; Tamrakar, Sameer; Saxena, R.R.The present investigation “STUDIES ON EFFECT OF ORGANIC AND INORGANIC FERTILIZERS ON GROWTH, YIELD AND QUALITY OF POMEGRANATE (Punica granatum L.) UNDER PRECISION FARMING” was conducted at PFDC (Precision Farming Development Centre), Department of Fruit Science, College of Agriculture, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Raipur during the year 2020 – 2021. An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizers on growth, yield and quality parameter of pomegranate under precision farming. The experimental data consisted of 10 treatments and 3 replications under randomized block design (RBD). The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Block Design with 10 treatments viz., T0 (100% of RDF as soil application and irrigation through drip ), T1 (60% RDF through drip), T2 (80% RDF through drip), T3 (100% RDF through drip), T4 (60% of RDF + Vermiwash through drip (1 litre/ week), T5 (80% of RDF + Vermiwash through drip (1 litre/ week), T6 (60% of RDF + Cow urine through drip (1 litre/ week), T7 (80% of RDF + Cow urine through drip (1 litre/ week), T 8 (60% of RDF + Vermiwash + Cow urine through drip (1 litre/ week) and T9 (80% of RDF + Vermiwash + Cow urine through drip (1 litre/ week)) with three replications. The results revealed that the treatment T9 – 80% of RDF + Vermiwash + Cow urine through drip (1 litre / week) significantly maximum growth parameters plant height (2.96 m), average shoot length (95.98 cm), No. of shoot/ plant (38.33), Plant spread N-S (2.64 m), E-W (2.67 m), No. of flower per plant (21). Followed by T8 – 60% of RDF + Vermiwash + Cow urine through drip (1 litre / week) and T7 – 80% of RDF + Cow urine through drip (1 litre / week). Treatment T9 significantly maximum yield parameters fruit weight (250.41 g), Fruit volume (220.52 cc), No. of fruit / plant (11.66), weight of fruit/plant (2.75 kg), weight of aril/ fruit(136.18 g), peel weight / fruit (113.92 g). Followed by T8 – 60% of RDF + Vermiwash + Cow urine through drip (1 litre / week) and T7 – 80% of RDF + Cow urine through drip (1 litre / week). The quality parameters of T9 - 80% of RDF + Vermiwash + Cow urine through drip (1 litre / week) significantly maximum total soluble solids (15.67° Brix), minimum titrable acidity (0.31%), TSS : Acidity (50.54), pH (3.71), ascorbic acid (23.90 mg/100g), reducing sugar (11.70%), non- reducing sugar (1.17%), total sugar (12.83%) of fruits juice. Benefit cost ratio Treatment T9 (80 % RDF + Vermiwash + Cow urine through drip (1 litre / week ) - (3.79).
