ThesisItem Open Access ANALYSIS OF SYSTEMATIC RISK OF EQUITY SHARES OF SELECTED COMPANIES IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY(PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY; LUDHIANA, 2005) SUMIT KUMAR; SACHDEVA, Y. P.ThesisItem Open Access D2 ANALYSIS IN INDIAN MUSTARD (BRASSICA JUNCEA)(Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut- 250 110, (U.P.) INDIA, 2015) SUMIT KUMAR; S.K. Singh; Pooran Chand, S.A. Kerkhi,Atar Singh,MukeshKumarThe present investigation entitled “Studies on D2 analysis in mustard (Brassica juncea)” involving thirty four genotypes was undertaken to examine the genetic variability, heritability, genetic advance, correlation coefficient, path coefficient analysis and genetic divergence. All the thirty four mustard genotypes were tested in randomized block design with 3 replications during rabi 2013-14. Observations were recorded for days to 50% flowering, days to maturity, plant height, number of primary branches per plant, number of secondary branches per plant, number of siliquae on main raceme, length of main raceme, number of seed per siliquae, number of siliquae per plant, 1000-seed weight, biological yield per plant, harvest index, oil content and seed yield per plant. Analysis of variance exhibited substantial amount of variability among the genotypes for all the characters under study, indicated wide spectrum of variability among the genotypes. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance were observed for plant height, number of siliquae on main raceme, number of seeds per siliquae, number of siliquae per plant, 1000-seed weight, biological yield per plant, harvest index and seed yield per plant, indicating the preponderance of additive gene effects for these characters and hence may prove useful for effective selection. Seed yield per plant exhibited significant stable and positive association with days to 50% flowering, number of secondary branches per plant, length of main raceme, number of siliquae per plant, biological yield per plant, harvest index and oil content at genotypic and phenotypic level. This indicates that these characters are useful to the breeders in selecting suitable plant type. Biological yield per plant displayed high order of direct effect on seed yield per plant followed by harvest index, number of siliquae on main raceme, number of siliquae per plant, number of secondary branches per plant and number of seeds per siliquae, suggested that can be considered as guidelines for further breeding work. Genotype from the same geographical region fell into different clusters and vice-versa. This suggested that selections of parents for hybridization should be on genetic diversity rather than on the geographical areas. The percent contribution of number of secondary branches per plant followed by length of main raceme, number of siliquae per plant, seed yield per plant, 1000-seed weight, number of siliquae on main raceme, harvest index and biological yield per plant contributed most towards genetic divergence. Divergence study suggested that crosses suggesting genotypes like Bhavani, Mathura Rai, Ashirvad, Varuna, Maya, CS54, Vardan, Jaggannath, RRCDR2 and Pitambari for getting desired segregants from breeding point of view.ThesisItem Open Access “A STUDY ON CLEAN MILK PRODUCTION PRACTICES IN DAIRY FARMERS AT ANAND AND SABARKANTHA DISTRICT OF GUJARAT(Anand Agricultural University, Anand, 2012) SUMIT KUMAR; Dr. M.R. PRAJAPATIIn this era of globalization and technology there is needed to increase productivity and handle the milk in professional and scientific way by means of technology. India has one of the largest populations of cattle in the world and ranks number in milk production. The country milk produced about 112.5 million tonne in 2009-10 and Gujarat state milk production is 8.8 million tonnes in the year of 2009-10. De Laval has come up with different technologies which help farmers in easy handling of dairy farm along with improvement in milk production and clean milk production at Dairy farm. Thus the study is oriented towards the adoption and awareness of clean milk production practices shared by the company to farmers. The study mainly used primary data to achieve the stipulated objectives. Two district of Gujarat namely Anand and Sabarkatha were selected as they constitute higher milk production in the GujaratThesisItem Open Access TO STUDY THE STUDENTS’ ATTITUDE TOWARDS ONLINE SHOPPING:A CASE STUDY OF COLLEGE STUDENTS OF SOLAN TOWN OF HP Project Report(UHF,NAUNI, 2018) SUMIT KUMAR; KRISHAN KUMARIn the last decade, internet has influenced communication, entertainment and shopping experience. The number of applications has increased and an easiness of these applications has also increased. Now a day's not only experienced users but also inexperienced users can use most of the internet applications. Online buying or e-shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly buy goods or services from a seller over the internet using a web browser. People, who have internet experiences, can search and find information quickly and most of the people do not have time to go shopping and they try to purchase their needs over the internet and for these people variety and quickness of internet shopping are valuable characteristics.Through online shopping consumers can buy faster, more alternatives and can order product and services with comparative lowest price. Therefore Marketers have carefully analysed the consumers’ attitude and behaviour towards the online shopping and spend billions of dollars to facilitate all the demographics of online shoppers. For this research, sample size of 60 college students’ of Solan Town of Himachal Pradesh was taken. A structured questionnaire was prepared for the present study. Findings revealed that the most of the college students’ were aware about online shopping. The boost in use of internet by the customers in younger age has provided a promising outlook for online retailers. Students, who have internet experiences, can search and find information quickly and as majority of them do not have time to go shopping so they try to purchase their needs over internet. The study suggests that respondents give most importance to security and privacy to generate trust.
