Vaikunta; TANUVASRotational forces applied to the skin and supporting tissues frequently result in a low velocity avulsion injury referred to as a degloving injury. Degloving injuries like shearing wounds are serious because the skin barrier is gone and there is unknown damage to the underlying soft tissue and blood supply. The present case describes a history, clinical findings, diagnosis and management of a degloving wound in a 7 month old male monkey (Macaca radiate).ArticleItem Open Access Endoscopic Diagnosis and Therapeutic Management of Ulcerative Colitis in Dog - A Case Report(INTAS Polivet, 2010) Pothiappan, P.; Sivasudharsan, L.; Rao, V. Vaikunta; TANUVASThe lower gastrointestinal tract of the dog is much simpler in its anatomical structure compared with many other species, comprising a simple tube which is divided into the caecum, colon, rectum and anus. As a result of this simple structure and the accessibility of the lower bowel, it is particularly well suited to examination by flexible endoscopy, which is fortunate because disease of the colon is very commonly seen in small animal practice. Fiberoptic endoscopy is a non-invasive technique for evaluating the lumen and mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract. It is a fundamental method for investigation of the digestive tract and is important in the diagnosis and prognosis of a variety of gastrointestinal disorders (Simpson,2005).
