RangaAgriculturalUniversityofAndhraPradesh,to study the integrated Phosphorus Management for Mungbean (Vigna radiata L.)., The experimentwasconductedinRBDwithfactorialconceptreplicatedthricewithtwofactors viz., three varieties ofmungbean and eight P management practices. The mungbean varieties were ML—267, LGG-407 and LGG-410. The P management practices were, controlwithoutanyP(P0)phosphobacterialinoculationalonetoseed(PBsced)aswellas soil (PBson) combination of reduced levels of recommended fertilizer P and phosphobacterialinoculationtoseed(P50+PBsccd,P75+PBsccd)aswellassoil(P50+PBson, P75+PBsoig) and100%recommendedPthroughfertilizer(P100). Plantheightanddrymatterproductionincreasedwithincreaseinageofthecrop uptomaturity.Leafareaindex,numberofnodulesplant'landnoduledryweightincreased upto40DASandthendecreasedtowardsmaturity. Growth characters, yield attributes, nitrogen and phosphorus uptake and soil fertilitystatuswerealteredduetovarietiesandPmanagementpractices. ThevarietyLGG~407producedlargerleafareaandgreaterdrymatteraccumulation thanLGG-410andML-267. AmongthePmanagementpractices,Pmoresulted intaller plants,higherleafareaandgreaterdrymatteraccumulationthantherestofthetreatments, whichwashowevercomparablewithP75coupledwithPBinoculationeithertoseedorsoil. TheinteractionbetweenLGG—407andPIOOresultedinthetallestplants,thehighestleaf area and the maximum dry matter accumulation compared to other treatmental combinations,whichwashoweverstatisticallyonparwithP75+PBso“orP75+PBseed. Thenodulenumberplant‘1andnoduledryweightweremaximumwithLGG-407 followedbyLGG—410andML-267. Thehighestnodulenumberandnoduledryweight werefoundwithP100,whichwashoweveronparwithP75+PBinoculationeithertoseedor soil. TheinteractionofLOG-407suppliedwithP75+PBsecdhasrecordedthehighestnodule numberanddryweight,whichwashoweverstatisticallyonparwithP75+PBSOHorPmo, irrespectiveofthevariety. Numberofpodsplant'l, pod length, numberofseedspod'I andthousand seed weightwerethehighestwithLGG-407followedbyLGG-410andML-267. Conjunctive useofP75+PBinoculationeithertoseedorsoilandP100recordedcomparablelevelofyield attributes andtheyweresignificantlysuperiorto otherP managementpractices. The varietyLOG-407suppliedwithP75+PBscedrecordedthehigheststatureofyieldattributes. ThevarietyLOG-407producedthehighestseedandhaulmyield,whilethelowest yieldwasassociatedwithML~267. ConjunctiveuseofP75andPBinoculationtoseedor soil and P100 recorded comparable seed and haulm yield ofmungbean, which were significantlysuperiortoother Pmanagementpractices. Withregardtointeraction,LGG407suppliedwithP75 andPBscedorPBsouorP100recordedcomparableseedandhaulm yieldandtheyweresignificantlyhigherthanothertreatrnentalcombinations. ThehighestandlowestvaluesofharvestindexwererecordedwithLGG-407and Mb267,respectively. ThevarietiesLGG-407withP50+PBseedrecordedhighestHI,where asthelowestwaswithMLe267withoutanyPsource. Nitrogenandphosphorusuptakedidnotdiffersignificantlyamongthevarieties, whilePmanagementpractices exerted significantinfluence. Atall thestagesofcrop growth,NandPuptakewasmaximumwithP75+PB5c¢d,whichwashoweveronparwith P75+PBSOH or Pm and they were significantly superior to rest ofthe P management practices. ThelowestNandP uptakewasnoticedwithnonsupplyofP through any source.TheinteractionofLGG—407suppliedwithP75+PBsccdhasresultedinthehighest uptakeofNandP, whereasthelowestuptakeofNandPwerenoticedwithP0inallthe threevarieties. ThehighestandlowestvaluesofPUEwererecordedwithLOG-407andML—267, respectively. IntegrateduseofP50andPBrecordedthehighestPUE,whereasPMhas registeredthelowestPUB. PostharvestsoilavailableNstatuswasthehighestwithLGG-407andthelowest withML-267. ConjunctiveuseofP75andPBsecdaswellasP100recordedsignificantly higher post harvest soil available nitrogen, which was comparable with P75+PBson. Interactiono-fLGG'410withP75+PBseedrecordedthehighestsoilavailablenitrogen,while itwasthelowestwithP0tothesamevariety. PostharvestsoilavailablePwasnotsignificantlyalteredbythevarieties. The highestpostharvestsoilavailablePwasnoticedwiththeconjunctiveuseofP75andPBW. andthelowestwasrecordedwithnonsupplyofphosphorus. InteractionofLOG-407 with P75andPBswd,andML-267witheitherconjunctiveuseofP75andPBorP100recordedthe maximumpostharvestsoilavailablePandtheminimumwaswithnophosphorustoall the threevarieties, Maximumgrossreturns,netreturnsandbenefitcostratiowerenoticedwithLOO407andP75+PBseed,amongthevarietiesandPmanagementpracticesrespectively. In conclusion, the study has revealed that the mungbean variety, LOO407 performedwellwiththeintegrateduseof75%ofrecommendPthroughfertilizercoupled withseedinoculationofphopshobacterialculture,sincethesaidintegratedPmanagement packagehasresultedinhigherproductivity,bettereconomicreturnsandenhancedfertility statusofsoil,thussatisfyingthesustainabilitycriteria.
