ThesisItem Open Access EVALUATION OF CERTAIN ECOFRIENDLY INSECTICIDES AGAINST LEPIDOPTEROUS PESTS OF CABBAGE(ACHARYA N.G. RANGA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, RAJENDRANAGAR, HYDERABAD, 1997) MALATHI, S; SRIRAMULU, MBacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki (B.t.k.) formulations Dipel, Delfin,Biobit, Biolep, Bioasp at 0.075 per cent, botanical insecticide Neemgold 0.03%,nematode formulation (Steinernema feltiae) Greencommandos @ 25 sponges/acre and endosulfan at 0.07 per cent were evaluated against the lepidopterous pests of cabbage under field and laboratory conditions. Delfin was very effective in reducing the populations of diamond back moth Plutel/a xylostella (L.), cabbage leaf webber Crocido/omia binotaiis (Zell). Dipel was equally effective against these pests. Endosulfan proved to be effective against tobacco caterpillar Spodoptera Iitura (Fab). Under laboratory bioassay, all B.t.k. formulations were equally effective against P. xy/oste/la and C. binota/I's, resulting in 86.66 to 100.00 and 96.66 to 100.00 per cent mortality in 72 hrs. Endosulfan gave cent per cent mortality of S. litura. All the test insecticides were found to be safe and did not show any adverse affect on coccinellid population under field conditions. The test insecticides did not show any adverse affect on parasitoid Trichogramma chilonis emergence when the Corcyra eggs were exposed for parasitisation and sprayed. Endosulfan and Neemgold sprayed eggs had relatively low parasitisation and adult emergence. Endosulfan residues were below MRL even at initial deposit.PresentationItem Open Access IMPACT OF HYDROCARBONS AND POLYCHLORINATED BIPHENYLS (PCBs) IN COASTAL ENVIRONMENT(Fisheries College and Research Institute Tamil Nadu Fisheries University, 2014) MALATHI, SPresentationItem Open Access IMPACT OF HYDROCARBONS AND POLYCHLORINATED BIPHENYLS (PCBs) IN COASTAL ENVIRONMENT(Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, 2015) MALATHI, S
