ThesisItem Open Access Appraisal of Salinity, Sodicity and Fertility Indices of Soils in relation to Irrigation Water Quality in North- Western part of Pali district of Rajasthan(Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner (Raj.), 2022) KAMLESH CHOUDHARY; Yogesh SharmaAppraisal of underground water in a set of situation requires assessment of underground water quantity and quality. Proper assessment of underground water in association with other water resources would be necessary for proper planning and management of this renewable natural resource. The need to optimize water use in agriculture has led to widespread use of mathematical tools to predict the long-term impact of water quality on soil properties and productivity. Numerical models of water and solute transport could be effective to study the possible salinization or desalinization and underground water contamination patterns as influenced by irrigation and drainage practices. These models require estimates of field variables like hydraulic conductivity, specific yield, dispersivity, moisture characteristics as well as irrigation and drainage system parameters as inputs
