ArticleItem Open Access Efficacy study of nano meter particle size (NMPS) colloidal minerals and PUFA in Aseel birds under field condition(2021) Vinothraj, S; Thirumalaisamy, G; Alagesan, P; TANUVASThe present study was carried out to study the efficacy of Nano Particle Size Colloidal minerals and PUFA in Aseel bird’s production performance. A total number of 200 chicks were taken and two groups were formed by covering 100 birds each. The selected Poultry farmers were trained on the importance of Mineral Mixture practices in poultry before the experiment. Production parameters (livability, weight gain, and feed consumption) and carcass traits were recorded at the end of 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 weeks in both groups. The present study demonstrated that feeding of NMPS included feed has improved all the production and carcass characters. Birds getting sufficient minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, trace minerals and polyunsaturated fatty acids at regular time intervals to get maximum productivity.ArticleItem Open Access Impact of TANUVAS Grand Supplement in Dairy Cattle(2019-01) Vinothraj, S; Alagesan, P; Saravanan Kumar, S; Siva, M; TANUVASThe dairy industry plays an important role in socio economic development of India. The main thrust of dairy industry today is to improve the efficiency of milk production through better understand the complex microbial interactions governing efficient nutrient utilization by ruminal microbes. Field trials conducted to study the performance of TANUVAS GRAND (Gruel Rooted Additive Nourishment Drops) supplement on augmenting milk production of dairy cattle in ten villages of Erode district. 03 Dairy farmers each village were selected for this trail and constituted a sample size of 30 milking cows with the average milk production of 8.5 litre/day/cow for analyze the milk yield and benefit cost ratio. Milk yield data collected in two stages viz, before and after administration of GRAND supplement. GRAND supplement administered animals produced the average milk yield of 9.20 litre/day/cow with the benefit cost ratio of 2.06, whereas before administration of GRAND supplement the same animals yielded of 8.58 litre milk/day from an animal with the benefit cost ratio of 1.85. The farmers realized the additional benefit cost of Rs 23 from an animal by including GRAND supplement in the feeding pattern of dairy cattle.ArticleItem Open Access Production Performance of TANUVAS Aseel Poultry Breed in Western Zone of Tamil Nadu, India(2020-09) Vinothraj, S; Alagesan, P; Pachiappan, P, et al.,; TANUVASThis study was conducted to evaluate the production performance of TANUVAS Aseel in Western Zones of Tamil Nadu. 150 Day old TANUVAS Aseel chicks were obtained from TANUVAS-CPPM, Hosur and distributed to farmers in different blocks of Erode district. Body weight and Egg production parameters were recorded in farmer’s field at weekly interval upto 72 weeks of time. The traits studied were body weight, Average age at first egg, Livability, Egg weight egg production and body measurements. The mean values and standard errors of 20 th week body weight, Age at First egg and Egg production (20-40 weeks) were, 943 ± 07.82 g, 33.6 ± 0.17 g and 182 ± 2.34 days and 146 ± 4.88 respectively. The study was concluded that observed productive performance TANUVAS Aseel can serve as an alternate improved strain to boost up the backyard farming.ArticleItem Open Access TANUVAS mineral mixture for enhancing milk yield of dairy cows(2021) Vinothraj, S; Alagesan, P; Srinivasan, RD; Saravankumar; Siva, M; TANUVASThe present Study carried out to study the effect of TANUVAS Mineral mixture supplement on milk production of dairy cattle in five blocks of Erode district. 30 Dairy farmers from each block were selected for this demonstration and constituted a sample size of 30 milking cows with the average milk production of 8.5 litre/day/cow for analyze the milk yield and milk fat & SNF. 30 days Milk yield data collected in two stages viz, before and after administration of TANUVAS Mineral Mixture. Animals fed with TANUVAS Mineral mixture showed increased milk production (1.06 litre/ Day), milk Fat (1.73 %) and SNF percentage (0.77 %) also increased. From this, economic status of the dairy farmers will be increased by getting additional income of Rs 788/ Animal/ month.
