Shoot tip of strawberry gave rise to multiple shoots when cultured on MS medium supplemented with different concentration of kinetin and BAP with IAA and TDZ. The highest response of shoot multiplication was obtained in MS media containing 2.0 mg/l kinetin + 0.5 mg/l IAA and 1.5mg/l TDZ for Ofra and Chandler cultivar respectively. The regenerated shoots were rooted on MS basal medium with IBA, NAA and control (without growth regulator). The highest root length and number of roots was produced on MS medium containing 1.0 mg/l IBA. The plantlets, thus developed were hardened and successfully established in soil medium. The plants raised through tissue culture exhibited normal growth and fruit setting.en_US
