T Maize (Zea mays) is known as the "queen of cereals" due to its high genetic yield potential. It is grown on 150 million hectares in 160 countries and supplies >5% dietary energy. The goal of this study was to investigate issues concerning maize production and marketing among farmers of Una Block. A sample of 100 respondents was taken up by convenience sampling in Una Block and appropriate statistical analysis was used to analyse the data. The results revealed that there are many issues faced by farmers in the production and marketing of maize, such as lack of nutrients in the soil, crops affected by pest attacks, a lack of irrigation and drainage, storage facilities, a low price for maize, etc. To address these issues, farmers need to form cooperative societies for collective marketing of their produce, adopt new, improved production technology, and improve their socio-economic status through increased literacy and timely availability of sufficient credit facilities.en_US
