Millsp.]” was carried out at the Agricultural Reserch Farm , Department of Agronomy , Institute of Agricultural sciences, Banaras Hindu University , Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh (India) during Kharif season of 2010-2011. The higher growth attributes such as plant height, number of branches, dry matter accumulation per plant was found with 100%RDF+2.5t VC fertility level and this fertility level being significantly over rest of the other fertility levels. The Yield attributes ( number of pods per plant, number of grain per pod, 1000 grain weight) yield, PEY of pigeonpea were maximum with 100%RDF+2.5t VC fertility level but this fertility level was significantly superior over remaining all the fertility levels. Maximum NPK content in grain as well as stalk and their uptake was found with 100%RDF+2.5t VC fertility level being significantly higher over rest of the fertility levels. The maximum gross return, net return and benefit: cost ratio was recorded with 100%RDF+2.5t VC fertility level being significantly superior over rest of the fertility levels.
