The experiment was laid out in split plot design and comprised of two factors viz., Main plot treatments: Genotypes (G) and Subplot treatments: Micronutrients application (M). The genotypes recorded non significant difference with respect to the growth and yield parameters. Among the micronutrients application the treatment which received RDF + Soil application of ZnSO4 @ 15 kg ha-1 & FeSO4 @ 10 kg ha-1 + Foliar application of 0.5% ZnSO4 and FeSO4 each 30 at DAS recorded significantly higher leaf area at harvest, number of tillers plant-1 at harvest, total dry matter accumulation at harvest, grain yield, stover yield, zinc content and iron content in grain (27.82 cm2 plant-1, 4.21, 29.69 g plant-1, 2272 kg ha-1, 9298 kg ha-1, 31.10 ppm and 796 ppm, respectively). In interaction (30.19 cm2 plant-1, 4.32, 30.52 g plant-1, 2321 kg ha-1, 9363 kg ha-1, 31.70 ppm and 802 ppm, respectively) was recorded with Sia-2644 in combination with RDF + Soil application of ZnSO4 @ 15 kg ha-1 & FeSO4 @ 10 kg ha-1 + Foliar application of 0.5% ZnSO4 and FeSO4 each 30 DAS. With respect to the economics the treatment which received RDF + Seed treatment with 0.5% ZnSO4 & FeSO4 each + Foliar application of 0.5% ZnSO4 and FeSO4 each at 30 DAS recorded significantly higher net returns and B:C (Rs.25734 ha-1 and 2.73). In interaction (Rs.26889 ha-1 and 2.81) recorded in HN-46 in combination with RDF + Seed treatment with 0.5% ZnSO4 & FeSO4 each + Foliar application of 0.5% ZnSO4 and FeSO4 each at 30 DAS.ennullSTUDIES ON IDENTIFICATION AND ENRICHMENT OF FOXTAIL MILLET [Setaria italica (L.)] GENOTYPES WITH ZINC AND IRON THROUGH AGRONOMIC FORTIFICATIONThesis
