Sardar” was conducted during the year 2022-23 at the Instructional Farm, Department of Fruit Science, College of Horticulture and Forestry, Jhalawar. The experiment consisted of 9 treatments laid out in Randomized Block Design with three replications. Among the different treatments of bending flowering and fruiting attributes like days required to initiation of flowers (37.66 days), days required for fruit set (45.00 days), number of flowering shootlets per branch (13.85), fruit set per cent (48.33%) and fruit retention per cent (39.66%) were found significantly superior in treatment T1 (30th May bending). However, some flowering and fruiting attributes like days required to emergence of new shoot (7.46 days) and number of new shootlets per branch (24.80%) were found significantly superior in treatment T4 (15th July bending). The yield attributes viz. number of fruits per bent shoot at harvest (28.66 fruits) and estimated yield (4.96 kg/ bent shoot) were found significantly superior in treatment T1 (30th May bending). However, fruit length (7.52 cm), fruit weight (185.66 g), fruit diameter (7.45 cm), pulp thickness (1.48 cm), size of seeds cavity per fruit (4.56 cm) and number of seeds per fruit (353.66 seeds) were found significantly superior in treatment T4 (15th July bending). The quality attributes viz. TSS (11.750B), total sugar (7.61%), reducing sugar (5.21%) and non-reducing sugar (2.40%) along with ascorbic acid (198.66 mg/ 100g pulp) were observed comparatively better in treatment T1 (15th May bending). Based on the present investigations, it may concluded that bending of 15th May in guava (Psidium guajava L.) cv. Sardar had beneficial effect in improving flowering, fruiting, yield and quality attributes in guava in prevailing condition of South-East Rajasthan. However the study require longer observation being confined during single season investigation.EnglishEFFECT OF TIME OF SHOOT BENDING ON FLOWERING, FRUITING AND YIELD ATTRIBUTES IN GUAVA (Psidium guajava L.)
