The study was conducted to assess the chemical quality of water for livestock in Vellore district. Water samples were collected from Sholingur (V1) and Kodaikkal (V2) villages from Sholingur block and Manthangal (V3) and Pulianthangal (V4) villages from Walajah block. Samples from tap, bore well, pond, open well and lake were tested to find their suitability as drinking water for livestock.
