Nutrient treatment with Cobalt, Copper, Molybdenum and Zinc was undertaken to know the influence of these nutrient elements on drought resistance in Korra cv Arjuna during the rabi season( November 1988-February 1989 >. Treatment with Co, Cu, Mo and Zn improved the crop growth in terms of plant height, leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, total dry weight and grain yield. CSR, LAR, LWR, LAI leaf area and flag leaf area were also increased by these elements. potential They did not affect RSR and NAR. which increased, with nutrient Leaf water treatment contributed to drought avoidance. The chlorophyll content increased while sugars and praline decreased due better translocation to sink. Grain yield signif i cantly both under stress and non-stress c onditions. t o increased It is obvious t hat Co , Cu, Mo and Zn nutrition in Korra raised under water stress cond itions increased grain yield by promoting ยท drought avoidance mechanisms. Hence besides applying major nutrients, seed treatment and foliar spray with Co, Cu, Mo and Zn may be recommended under stress, as well as non stress conditions to get higher yieldsenEFFECT, COBALT, COPPER, MOLYBDENUM, ZINC, SALTS, DROUGHT, RESISTANCE,EFFECT OF COBALT, COPPER, MOLYBDENUM AND ZINC SALTS ON DROUGHT RESISTANCE OF KORRA (Setaria italica L.)Thesis
