Polycystic kidney is defined as a genetically determined cystic lesion of either the autosomal-dominant (ADPKD) or autosomal-recessive forms (ARPKD). Two non-descriptive and a German shepherd dogs were diagnosed with unilateral polycystic kidney disease by abdominal ultrasonography.
