Dried bark of the plant was procured and ground to a fine powder. Aqueous and ethanolic extracts were prepared.The percentage yields of aqueous and ethanolic extracts were 9.9%& 2.12% respectively. Qualitative analysis of both the extracts revealed the presence of saponins, flavonoids, quinones and terpenoids.
