Computer vision, a sub domain of Artificial Intelligence has a crucial impact in the field of agriculture and it is used to accomplish tasks like increasing crop production, disease detection, precision farming, smart farming, etc. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or Drone is another technology that is very important in the field of agriculture. It is used to collect field data from the Agricultural field. It hovers around in the target area and provides the images of the field. These images are then processed to extract crucial information about the field. This work utilizes the images of the fields captured through drones. A field contains several plots. In this paper, an algorithm called Randomized or Probabilistic Hough Transform algorithm has been used to detect the boundaries of the plots of the field and compare the results obtained with the Paint method. In this work, those areas in the plots where plants are present have been also identified. To identify such areas or to extract such information from the drone image, HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) color space has been used. The boundary information extracted is very important for autonomous UAVs and Unmanned Ground vehicles (UGVs) because farmers can use such information to perform planting, harvesting, sprinkle of pesticides, seeds, fertilizer, etc more efficiently. The boundary line of the plots also provides farmers the exact map of their plots.EnglishField boundary detection using droneThesis
