A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand during 2012-13. The newly hatched larvae (1st and 2nd instar) feed gregariously on under surface of leaves by scraping its surface in the early stage. The third, fourth and fifth instar larva became voracious feeders and they produce regular holes on the leaves leaving the veins. The feeding was observed severe during night time and they hide in soil during day time. The female moths laid the eggs in masses on lower surface of the tenderenAgricultural Entomology,ManagementManagementBIOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT OF LEAF EATING CATERPILLAR, Spodoptera litura Fabricius ON CASTOR, Ricinus communis LinnaeusThesis
