Anand during the summer season of the year 2009-10 to study the “Response of summer rice (Oryza sativa L.) to plant geometry and age of seedlings under SRI method” The soil of the experimental plot was loamy sand in texture having good drainage with 7.5 pH. The soil was low in organic carbon and available nitrogen, medium in available phosphorus and high in potassium. Nine treatment combinations comprised of three plant geometry viz., (P1 : 10 x 10 cm, P2 : 20 x 20 cm, and P3 : 30 x 30 cm and three age of seedlings viz., S1 (10-12 days), S2 (18-20 days) and S3 (28-30 days) were tried in split plot design with four replications. The rice crop was fertilized with recommended dose of fertilizer (100:25:00 kg N, P2O5 and 25 kg ZnSO4 ha-1). However, additional 25 per cent dose of nitrogen was given from farm yard manure considering SRI method in rice.enAgronomy, StudyStudyRESPONSE OF SUMMER RICE (Oryza sativa L.)
