The morbidity was highest during winter season followed by spring, summer and rainy season. The prevalence was 55.39 per cent in kids and 44.72 per cent in goats. Eighty goats and 90 kids suffering from various respiratory affections were examined. Most characteristic symptoms observed in kids was fever in acute form of the disease, bilateral nasal discherge, coughing, stunted growth and presence of abnormal lung sounds. In peracute form the course was 6-48 hours whereas in sub acute or chronic form the course was one week to several weeks. Kids were more susceptible than adults. Five types of organisms were isolated from nasal discharges of affected of kids and goats. They are alpha hemolytic Streptococci, Staphylococci, Escherichia coli and Corynebacterium ovis. Staphylococci and Streptococci constitute about 77.5 per cent infection in kids and 81.25 per cent in goats. From the histopathological examination. it was found that parainfluenza 3 viruses, chlamydia and mycoplasme might also be associated with pneumonia in kids.EnglishObservation on Clinicopathological changes and effect of treatment of Respiratory Affections in GoatsThesis
