Due to diversified use of castor oil, It has attracted the farmers to grow the crop on & large scale. The hybrid castor variety GAUCH-1 developed at Oilseed Research Station, Junagadb is a very promising variety with nonshettering characteristics and hence it is widely adopted in Gujarat.
