Seven days of growth and fifteen days of growth could not clea r l y bring out the genetic similarity of the isolates and the only dependable stage to compare the isolates was 21 days of growth. The isolate variance in all the isoenzyme study was lower than the interaction variance. This suggests the dependability of the use of interaction variance in deciphering the differences existing within the isolates. Peroxidases, amylases, polyphenol oxidases followed by esterases showed maximum diversity in all the isolate combinationR suggesting that the isolates used in this investigation are of different genetic nature. Isolate II, III and IV had higher concentration of copper and isolate I had lower concentration of copper. Isolate III had the highest concentration of iron and isolate I had the lowest concentration of iron.enVARIATION, MACROPHOMINA, PHASEOLINA, GOlDVARIATION IN MACROPHOMINA PHASEOLINA (TASSI.)
