Recently, natural products have received great attention in the recent years for cancer chemotherapy owing to its reduced toxicity and side effects. In the present study, the anticancer potential of ethanolic extract of Stoechospermum marginatum was investigated by in vitro and in vivo animal model. S. marginatum was selected for the investigation based on its phytochemical and biochemical composition, in vitro antioxidant activity and cytotoxicity against HT29 human colon cancer cells. In vitro anticancer activity of S. margiantum was carried in HT29 cells and the extract was evaluated for its antiproliferative and apoptosis induction potential.EnglishVeterinary ScienceIN VITRO AND IN VIVO EFFICACY OF STOECHOSPERMUM MARGINATUMEXTRACT IN EXPERIMENTALLY INDUCED COLON CARCINOGENESIS IN RATSThesis
