Pyrexia was induced in all the rats by intraperitoneal injection with freshly prepared LPS at the dose rate of 100 µg/kg. Treatment with standard drugs (Indomethacin 100 mg/kg bw and Paracetamol 150 mg/kg bw.) and test drug (alcoholic extracts of Tylophora indica at 200 and 400 mg/kg b.w) were given orally 30 minutes before the injection of Lipopolysaccharide. The alcoholic extract at 400 mg/kg bw. excelled better than the dose of 200 mg/kg bw. in exhibiting antipyretic activity.enTylophora indicaPyreciaParacetamolIndomethacinLipopolysaccharide (LPS)Screening of Antipyretic Activity of Alcoholic Extract of Tylophora Indica in Wistar RatsIndian Vet.
