The material used were seven Bt cotton hybrids and its non Bt version of each Bt hybrid which was Rudra , Sigma , Tulsi, Akka, Dyana, PRCH-31 and Bunny etc .. A wide ofvariation was found for almost all the characters. There were significant differences observed among Bt and its non Bt genotypes. Among all other Bt hybrids Rudra Bt showed better performance for all growth and development characters . Observations on yield components show that number of bolls per plant, boll weight and yield per plant were most important to decide seed cotton yield. The hybrids (Rudra) Bt-l and (Rudra) NBt-1 were superior in these character, among Bt and non Bt hybrids respectively.
