Cigarette beetle is a serious pest of stored tobacco and its products. The average larval duration of cigarette beetle in methoprene treated food was 35.52, 36.33, 38.42, 46.52, 51.23 and 31.57 days at 8, 10, 12, 13 and 15 ppm including control. Pupal duration was not affected in treated and untreated food. At all the concentrations of methoprene the adults developed into deformed beetles and failed to reproduce further and generation came to an end.enAgricultural Entomology, AgricultureA StudyEFFECT OF METHOPRENE ON THE GROWTH OF CIGARETTE BEETLE, LASIODERMA SERRICORNE FABRICIUS (ANOBIIDAE : COLEOPTERA)Thesis
