The district level ATMA would be primarily responsible for all the district level technology dissemination activities and foresees a paradigm shift in planning and implementation from top to bottom up approach. It would have ties with all the line offices, research organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and agricultural development- affiliated agencies in the district. Collectivization can be achieved by mobilizing farmers into groups called Farmers Interest Groups (FIGs). Farmer interest groups (FIGs) are an unused model for farmers to learn and innovate in spite of the tremendous benefits that farmers have achieved by joining these groups, their sustainability is a major concern of extension agencies, relevant organizations and farmers.EnglishThesis
