KULKARNI, B.SNARENDRA KUMAR, E2016-08-052016-08-052007http://krishikosh.egranth.ac.in/handle/1/71122Estimation of rainfall is generally carried out corresponding to a single period independently without considering the inter-dependence of the rainfall received in the different periods. A multivariate approach, which applies cluster analysis, has been suggested for this purpose. The study also proposes an approach for isolating the effect of different factors affecting the crop yields as well as studying its association with the information obtained from the multivariate estimates. The study was confined to the four districts of Telangana region, forty three years of crop yield-rainfall data(1960-61 to 2002-03)was used in the present study. It was observed that the multivariate approach efficiently identified the representative rainfall patterns in the four districts. Further, these patterns also exhibited to a certain extent association With the clusters of crop yield, which described the impact of different factors on crop, yields.enMULTIVARIATE, ANALYSIS, RAINFALL, PATTERNS, ASSOCIATION, CROP, YIELDS, MAJOR, RAINFED, DISTRICTS, TELANGANA REGION, ANDHRA PRADESHMULTIVARIATE ANALYSIS OF RAINFALL PATTERNS AND ITS ASSOCIATION WITH CROP YIELDS IN MAJOR RAINFED DISTRICTS OF TELANGANA REGION (A.P).Thesis
