They are widespread in nature. Canine parvovirus (CPV) is of great concern to veterinarians, pet owners and dog breeders. Canine parvovirus is a DNA virus with ~25nm in diameter, icosahedral symmetry. There are 3 capsid proteins VPl, VP2 and VP3.
