The maggots were collected from wounds and carcasses in and around Bengaluru, India. The maggots from wounds were morphologically identified as C. bezziana and of carcasses were C. megacephala and C. albiceps. For larval extracts, the larvae were collected from the fly colony of C. megacephala which was successfully maintained in the laboratory, whereas larvae of C. bezziana collected from the fresh wounds due to their obligation of oviposition on fresh wounds.
