Sreenan and Disken (1985) obsen/ed that 40 percent of the fertilized ova were lost due to embryonic mortality. It has been inferred that the spontaneously occuring asynchrony between the embryo and metemal enviomment was the prime cause for the embryonic mortality. Maurer and Echtemkamp 1982) Measures commonly practiced to achieve and maintain “Meternal synchrony" are administration of either progesterone or luteinizing hormone. Hence in the present study repeat breeding cows were subjected to progesterone therapyand the efficacy of the therapy is discussed.EnglishVeterinary ScienceStudy on the efficacy of progesterone substitution therapy in Repeat Breeding cowsIndian Journal of Animal ReproductionArticle
