The clinical cases presented to Small Animal Outpatient Surgery Unit of Madras Veterinary College Teaching Hospital were screened for periodontal disease for a period of 8 months from October 2017 to May 2018. A total of 600 dogs were screened of which 177 dogs had various stages of periodontal disease. Among the 177 dogs, twelve dogs were selected and divided into two Groups consisting of six dogs each.
