One dog was treated for otitis externa 6 months back. On physical examination, there was unilateral facial muscle palsy, loss of menace and palpebral reflex and drooping of lips and ear on the affected side. Radiographic examination confirmed the enlarged tymphanic bulla of otitis media in one dog. Both animals were treated with predinisolone @ 1mg/kg for 15 days along with other neuroprotective agents. Both dogs started showing signs of recovery from first week onwards. In addition oral cephalexin was administered in otitis case and advised for surgical correction also.
