Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar during the year 2007 and 2008. The eleven treatments consisting of different organic manures and biofertilizers with or without chemical fertilizer combinations. The dose 1000 : 500 : 500 g NPK/tree through chemical fertilizers was used as a control. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with three replications. The Experimental trees were of twenty year old, planted in square system at 10 m × 10 m spacing and received uniform cultural practices during the period of investigation. Different treatment combinations involving the use of organic nutrients to reduce the quantity of inorganic fertilizers had significant effect on yield and quality. Minimum fruit cracking, maximum yield and minimum fruit drop was found with the treatment 500 : 250 : 250 g NPK/tree + 50 kg FYM enriched with VAM. Fruit quality in terms of TSS, acidity and total sugars were found significantly maximum with 500: 250 : 250 g NPK/tree + 10 kg vermicompost + 50 kg FYM. Plant growth in terms of tree height, canopy spread and trunk girth could not be influence significantly by any of the treatments. Leaf nutrient content and soil nutrient status were also affected by different treatments. 500 : 250 : 250 g NPK/tree + 50 kg FYM enriched with Azotobacter caused maximum N and K in leaf as well as in soil while 500 : 250 : 250 g NPK/tree + 50 kg FYM enriched with VAM caused maximum P in leaf as well as in soil. Thus on the basis of overall effect of integrated nutrient management, it can be concluded that integrated application of organic manures and biofertilizers alongwith chemical fertilizers (NPK + VAM or NPK + FYM + Vermicompost) may be better option for enhancing yield and quality in litchi cv.
