Animals started weight bearing between 5th and 14th post-operative days and attained full weight bearing on 50th day. Radiologically by 8th week there was abundant periosteal callus with persistence of fracture line. Osteomedullography revealed reestablishment of intaosseous and extraosseous network. There was a significant reduction in the serum calcium values on 3rd post-operative day, increase in serum inorganic phosphorus level on 3rd post-operative day and reached peak level of serum alkaline phosphatase on 15th post-operative day. Double Intramedullary pinning and cerclage wiring technique was found to be simple and effective internal fixation technique for femoral diaphyseal oblique fractures in dogs.enCerclage wiringDogFemurFractureintramedullary pinningImmobilisation and Treatment of Femoral Diaphyseal Oblique Fractures in Dogs using Double Intramedullary pinning and Cerclage wiring - A Study in Twelve patientsIntas Polivet_2012_Vol.13(II)_411-416Article
