The insect collected were brought to the laboratory and raised to F1 generation for their, chemical, biochemical and molecular assay. It was found in the studies that different populations developed different level of resistance against Rocket, Lethal, Fipronil, Chlorantraniliprole and Indoxacarb. Synergistic studies of PBO and DEM were also conducted with population of Pantnagar and found the role of P450 and GST in exhibiting insecticide resistance. Biochemical and molecular studies of four major detoxification enzymes i.e. Acetylcholinesterase, Carboxylesterase, Glutathione-S-transferase and Cytochrome P450 were also conducted for all the populations collected from different populations. The population of Mota Haldu exhibited highest expression of all enzymes except P450 while the population of Bhujan exhibited sharp rise in P450 activity. The result of the studies conducted revealed presence of different levels of insecticide resistance ranging from extreme resistance to susceptible against insecticide under study.EnglishBiochemical and molecular studies of Spodoptera litura (Fabricius) from different regions of Uttarakhand for development of insecticidal resistanceThesis
