The experiment was laid out in Factorial Randomized Block Design with three replications, consisting of twelve treatments i.e. three dates of planting (1st fortnight of August, 2nd fortnight of August and 1st fortnight of September) and four fertigation levels (NPK @ 20:20:20 g/m2 , NPK @ 25:25:25 g/m2 , NPK @ 30:30:30 g/m2 and Control). Among the different dates of planting, 2ndfortnight of August was significantly superior over 1stfortnight of August and 1st fortnight of September in respect of vine length, internodal length, number of fruits per plant, fruit length, fruit weight, fruit breadth, harvest duration, fruit yield per plant , fruit yield/100m2 .Planting date on 2nd fortnight of August took significantly lesser number of days for initiation of first female flower (16.28 days), days to 50% flowering (27.10 days) and days to first picking (38.87 days) significantly higher fruit length (15.98 cm), fruit breadth (5.78 cm), fruit weight (131.83 g), number of fruits per plant (24.62), fruit yield per plant (3.26 kg) , fruit yield/100m2 (1480.8 kg) and total soluble solids (4.150brix) with maximum net returns (Rs. 32972.7) and B:C ratio (2.88). Fertigation of NPK @ 30 g/m2 took significantly lesser number of days for initiation of first female flower(15.98), days to50% flowering(27.15 days) and days to first picking(38.27 days) and significantly higher fruit length (16.14 cm), fruit breadth (5.91 cm), fruit weight (135.75 g), higher fruit yield per plant (2.89 kg) and fruit yield (1545.2kg/100m2 )and total soluble solids (3.910brix) with maximum net returns (Rs. 34515.1) and B:C ratio (2.91) than other levels of fertigation.EnglishEFFECT OF DATE OF PLANTING AND FERTIGATION LEVELS ON THE PRODUCTIVITY OF CUCUMBER IN NATURALLY VENTILATED POLYHOUSEThesis
