Consumer behaviour focuses on how individuals make decisions to spend their available resources on consumption related items. The present study entitled “To study the customer behaviour with respect to the purchase of Smart Phones (A study conducted in Solan Town of HP)” was carried out in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh to understand the factor which effect consumer decision while selecting or purchase of a smartphone, and to study the effect on the income of the retailers after the introduction of smart phones. . A structured questionnaire was prepared for the present study. The information collected from the sample of 80 respondents was analyzed. The study suggested that services, performance and brand were the factors that affected purchase decision of respondents. The study also showed that people constantly switch from one brand to another because of the quality, reliability and availability of various brands in the Market. The study also showed that introduction of new smart phones resulted in positive increase in business income of the Retailers.
