For vaccinating the goats formaline killed Al(OH)3 gel adsorbed M. agalactiae organisms was used. The results obtained are summarized as follows: Caprine Immune System: 1. Immunoglobulin concentration in sera and secretions of normal goats are not known. Using single radial immune diffusion test the mean concentrations in sera and tracheal washings of normal goats have been estimated and found to be 10.55 +0.807 mg ₂-1 and 1.045 ± 0.157 mg ml respectively. 2. Enumeration of T and B-cells in goats using rosette technique has not been attempted yet. By using E-rosette and EAC-rosette techniques probably for the first time in goat it has been screened out that the cattle erythrocytes have got the receptors for T lymphocyte of goat to form spontaneous B-rosette. It has been found that mean percentage of T and B-cells in normal goat peripheral blood lymphocytes are 23.0+ 0.50 and 27.33 0.49 percent, respectively. 3. Jerne-plaque technique has been employed to detect antibody forming cells/plaque forming cells (PFC) in peripheral blood and lymphoid organ of normal goats.
