Blood samples were collected from sporting bulls of different age groups of indigenous breeds and non-descript cattle and the mean serum testosterone concentration was 4.40 ± 0.29 ng / ml. The mean testosterone level was found to differ significantly (p<0.01) among different age groups and hump size (p<0.05), but did not differ among different genetic groups of sporting bulls. The testosterone level had high and positive correlations with height at withers (0.40), body length (0.44), chest girth (0.46) and body weight (0.49) in sporting bulls.en-USVeterinary ScienceAnimal Genetics and BreedingStudy on Association of Serum Testosterone with the Physical Traits in Jallikattu BullsIndian Veterinary JournalArticle
