Respondents were chosen on the basis of stratified random sampling technique. The data were collected from each respondent through a semi-structured interview schedule and analysed using Garrett’s ranking technique. The major constraints faced by the Peruvidai chicken rearing farmers in the order of importance were; mortality / diseases (71.34%), shrinkage of land for foraging (64.15%), lack of finance (60.02%), non-availability of quality chicks (52.70%), non-availability of quality feed (50.85%), delay or lack in getting technical advice (50.72%), predation (49.93%), difficulty in getting bank loan (47.29%), marketing (29.67%) and source of water (23.34%). The improvement made in these constraints may enhance Peruvidai chicken productivity.EnglishVeterinary ScienceConstraints in Peruvidai Chicken FarmingIndian Veterinary JournalArticle
