S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (H.P.) during the year 2008. Experiment was carried out in Randomized Block Design (Factorial) with three levels each of nitrogen (0, 15, 30 g/m2), phosphorus (0, 15, 30 g/m2) and potassium (0, 15, 30 g/m2) having 27 treatment combinations keeping three replications each in a plot size of 1 mx1 m with a spacing of 30x30cm accommodating nine plants per plot. The observations were recorded on plant height, number of primary and secondary side shoots per plant, plant spread, number of leaves per plant, days taken for bud formation, flowering and peak flowering, number of flowers per cluster, number of flower clusters per plant, flower size, flower colour, duration of flowering, number of days taken for seed formation and number of seeds per plant. Analysis of variance showed significant differences among treatments for all the traits except for flower size. Vegetative parameters like plant height, number of primary side shoots per plant, number of secondary side shoots per plant, plant spread and number of leaves per plant were found to be best with 30 g/m2 each of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, while flower characters like number of flowers per cluster and number of flower clusters per plant were found to be best with 15 g/m2 nitrogen and 30 g/m2 each of phosphorus and potassium.ensowing, intercropping, wheats, tillage equipment, seed drilling, crops, mustard, fertilizers, land resources, chickpeasNutritional studies in Barleria cristata Linn.Thesis
