On blood smear examination 3,840 blood smears were found to be positive for various Haemoprotozoan diseases. Among the recorded positive Haemoprotozoan diseases, the highest incidence was of Ehrlichia canis of 2117 cases (51.45%) followed by Babesia gibsoni with 828 cases (20.12%), Hepatozoan canis with 433 cases (10.52%), Babesia canis with 372 cases (9.01%), Trypanosoma sp. With 49 cases (1.19%), Microfilaria with 36 cases (0.87%) and Mycoplasma sp. with 6 cases (0.14%) Maximum number of cases were recorded during Monsoon season (August-November) with 1354 cases (35.26%) followed by 1347 cases (35.07%) during Summer season (April-July) and 1139 cases (29.66%) during winter season (December-March).
