The objectives of the study were to estimate the genetic variability, broad sense heritability, inter-character association and the direct and indirect effects of yield and quality attributing characters through path coefficient analysis. The result revealed that IC 310618, IC 310623, GUJ 1, NMRM 2 and IC 285629 were superior lines for gel and aloin yields. Aloin content (%) was recorded highest in IC 310623 (27.07%). Based on variability studies, parameters viz., plant height, leaf weight, leaf thickness, exudates yield per plant, leaves per plant and leaf breadth could be selected for increasing yield as they have high heritability coupled with genetic advance.EnglishGENETIC VARIABILITY, CORRELATION AND PATH ANALYSIS FOR YIELD AND YIELD ATTRIBUTING CHARACTERS IN ALOE (Aloe barbadensis Mill.)Thesis
