Amputation of the affected hind leg was done to save the life of the kid. Two elliptical or V-shaped sterile incisions were made through the skin 4 cm below the hock joint on both medial and lateral aspects of the leg at the point of amputation to get sufcient skin ap for suture. Then the ends of the muscle bundles were anastomosed by simple continuous suture. The edges of skin  aps were brought in apposition and edges were sutured  nally with horizontal mattress sutures using catgut. The animal treated symptomatically. The sutures were removed after 14 days. The recovery after amputation was also satisfactory within one month.en-USAmputationMultiple fractureKidAmputation of Hind Leg in a Crossbred Kid – A Case ReportIVJ_V93_I09_Pg59-61Article
